A 31-year-old man was detained for kidnapping two minors, theft and drugs.

According to the Spokesperson of the Paphos Police Directorate and Head of the Paphos Police, Michalis Nikolaou, the 31-year-old was arrested for entering a house and stealing.

Further, during a search of his residence, quantities of drugs and stolen property were found. It was also found that the 31-year-old had been charged with kidnapping at an earlier time.

Specifically, Mr. Nikolaou said that It was reported by two minors that while they visited him friendly at his residence at noon on December 20, 2021, he forcibly detained them there and did not allow them to leave.

According to the complaint, allegedly stole their cell phones using physical violence. The two minors, according to their allegations, managed to escape around 20:00 in the evening of the same day.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
