The Paphos Police arrested a 40-year-old man, to facilitate investigations into an ongoing vehicle theft case in Kissonerga.
According to a spokesperson for the Communications Branch of the Police Headquarters, the 40-year-old man who was wanted and had an arrest warrant pending against him for vehicle theft was located on Thursday at 20:00 PM and subsequently arrested.
He is suspected of the theft of a vehicle on September 4, 2024, which was reported by its owner.
The vehicle was located on the same day of its theft, when a fingerprint check was carried out and evidence was obtained.
The vehicle had been damaged. From the examinations carried out, testimony was obtained against the 40-year-old and it was determined that the vehicle was related to cases involving damage caused to a kiosk window in Chloraka and to a drinking water dispenser on the Marathounta-Armos road in the Paphos district.
The 40-year-old was arrested yesterday. The case is being investigated by the Paphos Police Department.
