Members of the Limassol Regional Police Department arrested a 37-year-old driver, who was allegedly driving with fake license plates and without a license, while it was found that he resides illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday evening.
According to the Police, at around 20:40 yesterday, during a motorized patrol in Limassol, police officers stopped a vehicle that was moving suspiciously for inspection.
As determined during the inspection, the driver was a 37-year-old man, who was driving the vehicle with fake registration plates, without a driver's license, without a safety certificate, without a registration certificate and without a certificate of suitability for the car.
Further examinations revealed that the 37-year-old has been residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus since March 27, 2023.
The case is being investigated by the Polemidia police station.
