Speaking on the front page, Mr. Karousos stated that the most important thing is to build alliances in this effort for road safety and for this and in the meeting were invited organizations, volunteers and social partners to participate in the effort made to address the problem. with road safety.
"Of the 9 fatalities with the cars, 6 did not wear a seat belt, out of the 6 fatalities on motorcycles, 5 did not wear a protective helmet. That is why we decided to take action and add to what we are already doing, "said Mr. Karousos.
"This year, one of the biggest actions of the Police for road safety in controls and policing is in progress. "We want to build a social alliance to use it for action on road safety and that was the reason for the meeting," said Mr Karousos.
He went on to say, "We have no fatalities on highways because we have fixed the problem areas. "On the highways they are almost zero, the deadliest ones are in the city centers."
