The death of the four people aboard a boat that capsized on Monday 25 nautical miles from Cape Greco, in international waters, is attributed to "drowning in the water".
CNA reports that autopsies were performed on 4 of the deceased in the shipwreck yesterday, Tuesday, and the findings showed that their deaths were due to "drowning in water."
Samples were also taken from the bodies and will be sent for toxicological, histopathological and other tests.
The autopsies were performed by forensic doctors Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxo Orthodoxo, at the Nicosia General Hospital.
It is noted that autopsies will be performed today on the bodies of the other three victims of the shipwreck.
