Bilateral relations and regional developments were at the center of the meeting held by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates.

According to an official announcement, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Constantinos Kombos made a working visit to Abu Dhabi on June 4-5. As part of the visit, Dr. Kombos met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the consultations, the two Ministers reviewed Cyprus-UAE bilateral relations as well as ways to further promote them in matters of strategic interest. The Ministers also had an in-depth discussion on regional developments and exchanged views in relation to continued coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual interest, including EU-UAE relations.

Dr. Kombos also had a meeting with Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Senior Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the UAE, during which there was an exchange of views in relation to the cooperation between the two countries at the bilateral and multilateral level to address geopolitical challenges and to exploit regional opportunities.
