Double Murder / Workers: The alleged perpetrator engages himself on stage

The alleged perpetrator of the double murder committed on February 11 at the Workers gave a statement to the investigators

The alleged perpetrator of the double murder committed on February 11 at Ergates, with 52-year-old Androula Avraxidou and 20-year-old Stelios Giagkou, testified before investigators.

The 59-year-old reportedly spoke to investigators and placed himself at the scene of the heinous crime.

It is worth noting that his detention order expires next Friday and if the examinations are completed by then, the case will be registered in the Court.

The double murder

A 59-year-old man stabbed to death his 52-year-old wife and 20-year-old son and immediately left the crime scene.

It all unfolded at 06:00 on the morning of February 11 while the abominable spectacle was first seen by the sister of the 52-year-old woman, who heard voices and ran to see what was happening.

There she saw her sister and the 20-year-old dead.

The body of the 52-year-old was found in the yard as he allegedly tried to escape while the body of the 20-year-old was found inside the family home.

The 59-year-old tried to kill the second son of the family with a cable and a knife, however the 25-year-old managed to escape and was taken to the hospital.

The voices of the 25-year-old were heard by neighbors who called the Police, members of which rushed to the spot.

The alleged perpetrator had escaped with his vehicle, however, he was located a few hours later in Halepianes.
