The Council of Ministers approved the provision of free bus transportation for car owners whose vehicles have been immobilised and those who choose to immobilise their vehicles on their own initiative.

Based on the proposal submitted by Transport Minister Alexis Vafeadis, this benefit will last until the defective components in the recalled vehicles are replaced.

The estimated maximum annual cost of implementing the action amounts to six million euros.

The decision concerns both the 276 vehicles that have been immobilised, and the 82 thousand vehicles that are being recalled for airbags.
