The free dental care program for 2023th grade children of public and private primary schools will also be implemented for the 2024-XNUMX school year by the Dental Services of the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Pancypriot Dental Association, as part of their effort to promote oral health health of the child population in Cyprus.
As stated in an announcement of the Ministry of Health which is transmitted by the Ministry of Health, according to the program, all children of the 2023th Grade, after the written consent of their parents, during the period October 2024-January XNUMX, will be examined by a dentist of the Dental Services and will they are given, in case dental problems are identified, a referral for free dental treatment to a private dentist participating in the program.
The costs of providing dental care by private dentists will be covered by the Dental Services budget, it added.
It is added that "the payment of private dentists will be based on pre-agreed prices, as part of their social contribution".
The deadline for children with the referral to visit a private dentist to receive free dental care is September 30, 2024, it said.
