The first children's vaccines were given to the T / C side through the bi-communal Technical Committee for health.

As the head of the Committee, Leonidas Fylaktou, stated to KYPE, last Wednesday, 2000 doses of Pfizer were given to children aged 5 - 11 years.

Mr. Fylaktou said that the quantity was given after communication with the Minister of Health of the Republic and depending on the availability and the requests from the Turkish Cypriot side, more will be given.

Meanwhile, an announcement by the "Ministry of Health" in the occupied territories states that next Monday the vaccination of children aged 5-11 years will begin, with priority given to children with chronic diseases and starting from the ages of 10-11.

According to the data of the vaccination program, until January 14 in the occupied territories, 294.717 people were vaccinated at least one dose, 301.265 people have completed the series of vaccinations (2 doses), 158.826 people have done 3 doses, 56.955 have done 4 doses. The total number of vaccinations in the occupied territories is 775.453.
