Speaking to SigmaLive, the member of the epidemiological team of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Petros Karagiannis.

He initially explained that we are entering the fourth week of taking horizontal measures with the situation having stabilized in high numbers and at the moment it does not seem to be falling. He added that the attention is on the Hospitals and the patients, clarifying that he is the main regulator of the situation.

He noted that the ban on rallies is a deterrent to preventing further pandemics. He explained that at Christmas there were many indoor gatherings, which favored the transmission of the virus, adding that "we did not limit our contacts."

"We are not in an absolutely critical situation, but our focus is on the Hospitals. "If the health system becomes even more stressed, then unfortunately there will be additional measures."

Finally, he said that in a few days the situation will be evaluated again and if they are asked for their opinion, they will submit their own suggestions.
