With an amendment of the Movement of Ecologists - Citizens' Cooperation, it was voted in law the proposal to extend the law on the taking of extraordinary measures in the field of tourism, ie the validity of vouchers granted to travelers in exchange for bookings for stays and trips that are postponed due to the Koronivos pandemic.
Movement MP Stavros Papadouris during the plenary session made an oral amendment which was then approved by the plenary, so that there is possibility of redemption of the relevant coupons by their holders until the end of January, but if they do not wish the right is extended until the end of June.
In his statements, the MP states that "After a discussion with consumers and hearing their concerns, we decided to table this oral amendment, due to the limited time we had. We want to ensure that anyone who wants to redeem the coupon by the end of the year will be able to do so and we extend this right until the end of June based on the extension given by the President of the Commission ".
The law that was passed provides for the extension of the voucher arrangement to customers, instead of a refund for another six months.
