A vehicle belonging to a 32-year-old Limassol resident was completely destroyed after a fire was set maliciously in the early hours of this morning. A second vehicle suffered minor damage.
According to the Limassol Fire Department, the fire broke out at 1:40, while the vehicle was parked on the east side of the parking lot of the apartment building where the complainant resides.
The scene was cordoned off by members of the Limassol Public Security Bureau and the Limassol Fire and Rescue Service, while the fire was extinguished by the Fire Department.
Examinations determined that the fire, which completely destroyed the 32-year-old's vehicle and caused minor damage to a second vehicle, was started maliciously using flammable material.
Examinations at the scene, which was placed under guard, continue in broad daylight.
