Evidence has emerged against the 23-year-old suspect
He was arrested by members of the Police, a 23-year-old man, in relation to an investigated case of arson of a marine vessel, which was committed in the province of Paphos. The suspect was taken into custody pending investigation.
According to the data under investigation, and with the announcement of the Office of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, around 2.00:57 a.m. on Friday, a fire broke out in a marine vessel, owned by a XNUMX-year-old man, which was parked in a field in the Empas area, in Paphos. Members of the Police rushed to the scene for examinations, while the fire was extinguished by members of the Fire Service. The fire caused extensive damage to the sea vessel.
From the examinations carried out at the scene by members of the Police, the Fire Service, as well as the Electro-Mechanical Services, it was established that the fire on the sea vessel had been set maliciously.
During the investigation of the arson case, evidence emerged against the 23-year-old suspect, who was located and arrested by members of the Police, with a court warrant, shortly before 6.30:XNUMX pm on Friday.
