In the context of an operation, which was carried out yesterday afternoon in Paphos, eleven electronic computers, which are believed to be illegally converted into gaming machines, were located in a building and seized.
Members of the Paphos Crime Prevention Ulam, members of the Intellectual Property Theft Offenses Branch and members of the Forensic Electronic Data Laboratory participated in the operation. During it, a property owned by a 36-year-old woman was searched, in which eleven electronic computers, believed to be illegally converted into gambling machines, were located and seized.
Two persons were located and arrested inside the premises, against whom fine warrants were pending. The two arrested, after fulfilling their obligations, were released.
A foreigner was also located in the premises, who was arrested for the crime of illegal stay in the Republic and taken into custody.
