As part of actions carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Service in collaboration with the Customs Authorities to identify persons who import drugs into the Republic of Cyprus through airports, a 31-year-old man was arrested last night.

Specifically, after a check carried out by an officer of the Customs Department on the luggage of the 31-year-old, who arrived last night at Larnaca airport, three wooden trays were found in which there were carefully hidden nine nylon packages containing a total of one kilogram and 260 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine.

The 31-year-old was arrested for the initial offenses of illegal importation of drugs, possession of drugs and possession of drugs for the purpose of supply to other persons.
