According to the instructions of the competent Ministry, the IC Primary School of Agios Nikolaos Kato Polemidia will remain closed until next Tuesday, due to the increased cases of coronavirus, in students and teachers, but also difficulties in replacing teachers.
This was stated to KYPE by the President of the School Ephorate of Kato Polemidia, Andreas Theodorou, adding that the school was locked and will reopen next Wednesday, while until then, instructions have been given to disinfect all areas again.
The XNUMXth Primary School of K. Polemidia was one of the two primary schools that two weeks ago presented increased cases of coronavirus and as Mr. Theodorou said "some children continued to be positive for the virus, as well as teachers, while we were informed that it was difficult to send replacement teachers ».
Therefore, he continued, the Ministry of Education informed that the school will remain closed and will reopen next Wednesday, reminding that the holiday of Clean Monday is also mediated.
Asked about this, the President of the School Ephorate of Kato Polemidia, said that in the other schools of the area "individual cases" are identified, there is no concern and all the health protocols are observed.
