The Paphos District Court issued a one-day detention order against a 40-year-old man for an investigated case of illegal possession of property and burglary tools.
According to a statement from the Office of the Communications Branch of the Police Headquarters, the 40-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for open offenses and was taken into custody to facilitate inquiries related to an ongoing case of illegal possession of property and burglary tools and possession and transportation of an offensive instrument.
Specifically, at around 6.00:40 pm yesterday, members of the Police stopped a car for a check, which was moving on a Paphos road. It was found that the XNUMX-year-old was the driver, while various burglary tools and a wooden tool handle, which can be used as an offensive instrument, were found inside the vehicle.
Also, the announcement continues, a number of metal scaffolding legs were found inside the vehicle, for which the 40-year-old did not give satisfactory explanations as to how they came into his possession.
As a result, the 40-year-old was arrested for spontaneous offenses and taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
