Damage to car headlights and a house window in Aradippou was caused by a firecracker thrown at a house early this morning.
According to the Police, fifty minutes after midnight, an explosion was heard in an area in Aradippou.
The Officer and members of the Larnaca Fire Department and the Aradippou Police Station went to the scene and from investigations carried out, it was determined that an unknown person or persons had probably thrown a large firecracker in the outdoor parking area of the residence.
The explosion caused damage to the headlights of a vehicle and a window of a house.
Both the owner of the residence, a 59-year-old private employee from Aradippou, and his family members do not suspect anyone of throwing the firecracker.
Members of the Police and pyrotechnicians went to the scene today in order to clarify the type of explosive used.
Investigators are also evaluating closed-circuit surveillance cameras in the area in order to gather more information to identify the individuals who threw the firecracker.
The case is being investigated by the Larnaca Police Department.
