The District Court of Paphos rejected a request by the Police to issue arrest warrants for 10 people of Arab origin, who had allegedly set up a criminal organization to transport foreigners to Cyprus, for a fee, as reported by RIK.

In the decision, the Court stated that there is no reasonable evidence of the involvement of the suspects in the crimes under investigation.

In fact, he blamed the Police for delaying to act, despite having for a considerable period of time information regarding the existence of a ring involved in the trafficking of hundreds of immigrants.

The Police had proceeded with the arrests of 10 people, in a coordinated operation yesterday.
