With intensified patrols and checks in all provinces, Police actions continued on Sunday and during the night to prevent the use of firecrackers, the lighting of fireworks and phenomena of juvenile delinquency.
According to a police statement, within the framework of these actions, Police patrols responded to various incidents of fire starting, while in some cases, wood intended for lamp posts was located and was seized with the help of local authorities' teams.
In the Limassol district, during the night, members of the Police located in an open area, near a Church, three incendiary objects of the "Molotov" type, which were taken for further examination. Members of the Police responded to incidents of fire starting in an open area, where members of the Fire Service were also called to extinguish the fires. Wood was located in five garbage bins, which was taken with the help of a Limassol Municipality team.

According to the announcement, the Police continues with increased presence and targeted actions in all provinces, aiming to prevent dangerous behaviors and enhance the safety of citizens, while calling on the public to demonstrate responsibility and cooperate with the competent authorities.
