Yesterday at around 9:30 pm, members of the Green Line Surveillance Sub-Directorate located 16 irregular migrants, eight of whom were minors, on the main road of the village of Peristeronas.
In the area, three vehicles were also spotted moving suspiciously, carrying a total of nine people, who were arrested for the flagrant offense of aiding the trafficking of irregular migrants and are expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court today, for the issuance of a detention order.
Regarding the 16 irregular migrants, they were transferred to the ''Pournara'' First Reception Center, in Kokkinotrimithia,
