Crowded barber shop, restaurant without masks and nightclub without operating license… Some of the complaints recorded in the last 24 hours as part of the checks for compliance with the measures against the coronavirus pandemic.

Specifically, the barber manager in Paphos was reported, who did not have a thermometer and antiseptic in his shop, while he did not even keep a book for customer appointments, resulting in overcrowding in the store. He is required to pay 500 euros out of court.

A restaurant owner is also required to pay 500 euros because the employees did not wear protective masks.

In the third case, the owner of a nightclub was reported because he did not have the necessary operating licenses. A file will be formed and the case will be brought to justice.

12 complaints of citizens and 4 premises 

In the last 12 hours, the Police proceeded with 4 complaints of citizens and 24 complaints of real estate in the context of 1.055 inspections nationwide for the implementation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus. There were also 5 complaints of non-possession of a Cyprus Flight Card (CyprusFlightPass).

In Nicosia 115 inspections were carried out and 7 complaints were made by citizens and none in premises, while in Limassol 167 inspections were carried out with 1 complaint in premises and none in a citizen. In Larnaca only two complaints were made by citizens out of a total of 153 inspections, while in Paphos after 116 inspections there were 3 complaints of premises. In Famagusta, 286 inspections were carried out with 3 complaints from citizens, while in the area of ​​Morfos, after 161 inspections, there were no complaints.
