15 illegal persons residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus were repatriated

The Police carried out another coordinated operation for the repatriation of foreigners residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.

In cooperation with the FRONTEX Organization, 04 third-country nationals were repatriated today, 04/2025/15, in a coordinated joint return flight carried out by the Greek Authorities, in which the Cyprus Police also participated.

This is the 5th participation of the Aliens & Immigration Service in FRONTEX joint operations for the year 2025.

It is noted that for the first three months of 2025, 3737 people who were residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus have been repatriated through forced and voluntary return procedures.

During the corresponding period last year, the total number of returns/deportations amounted to 2901.

It is noted that the total number of arrivals of irregular migrants for the first three months of 2025 amounted to 624, while for the corresponding period last year, the total number of arrivals amounted to 2981.

The efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service, to maximize the number of returns, continue.
