The Police carried out another coordinated operation for the repatriation of foreigners residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.
In cooperation with the FRONTEX Organization, 22 third-country nationals were repatriated on 02/2025/14, on a joint return flight carried out by the Italian Authorities, in which the Cyprus Police also participated.
This is the 2nd participation of the Republic of Cyprus in FRONTEX joint operations for the year 2025.
It is noted that since the beginning of the year, 2,056 people residing illegally in Cyprus have departed the country through forced and voluntary return procedures, compared to 1,639 people in the corresponding period last year.
Within the day, another operation is planned by the FRONTEX organization and the German Authorities with the participation of the Cyprus Police, for the repatriation of another 10 nationals of a specific third country.
The efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service, to maximize the number of returns, continue.
