A clash between fans, the throwing of Molotov cocktails and damage to property occurred around midnight in the historic center of Limassol, in front of the Apollon club building.
According to the Police, information received indicated that a group of people went to the club's building, located on Messolonghiou Street, where they threw firecrackers and improvised incendiary objects such as Molotov cocktails, while they clashed with patrons on the premises.
Members of the Limassol Anti-Terrorist Unit went to the scene, where the suspects fled, setting fire to a trash can and causing damage to parked vehicles.
So far, damage has been found to the windshields and windows of eleven vehicles, while the driver of another vehicle reported that unknown persons threw a fire extinguisher at him, causing damage to the rear windshield of his car.
Police investigations continue.
