At around 2.20 in the morning today, Wednesday 02/04/2025, members of the YAM-Green Line Surveillance Sub-Directorate stopped a car, driven by a 31-year-old, for inspection on Larnaca Avenue in Aglantzia.
In an attempt by a member of the Police to stop the vehicle, a service weapon was used that hit the rear tire of the vehicle, which was then stopped. During the investigations, a disassembled DOKO with a cut barrel and a number of shotgun cartridges were found in the 31-year-old's vehicle, while a quantity of crystal substance, weighing half a gram, was found in his possession and he was arrested for the flagrant offenses he committed.
The 31-year-old will appear today, Wednesday 02/04/2025, at the Nicosia District Court for the issuance of a detention order.
The Nicosia TAE and the Nicosia YKAN are investigating the case.
