The number of complaints for traffic violations, fully demonstrates the magnitude of the problem of safety on our roads. It also demonstrates the absolute need to change our mentality as road users, but also the need to intensify traffic controls and further improve the way they are conducted. This includes the use of modern technology, such as the OBR system, by the Police in conducting traffic inspections.

The On Board Radar, is essentially an electronic system for recording and controlling speed, which is installed in both patrol cars bearing Police signals, and in Police vehicles, without insignia. Smart and practical, it provides the ability to maximize the number of checks, while providing greater security to the police officers who carry out the check, as well as to the passengers of the vehicles being checked.

The speed control system operates both when the police vehicle is in motion and when it is static. It has the ability to record the speed of vehicles that are ahead or following the police vehicle, as well as vehicles moving in the opposite direction.277577521 344042504431103 381612266654744013 n

It is understood that through the OBR system, as well as other intelligent systems of the Police, the intensification of the controls on the roads is sought, with the aim of consolidating to the drivers a more correct road behavior. The aim is to reduce as much as possible those traffic violations, which have been proven to be the main causes of fatal and serious road collisions, such as speeding violations.
