The Paphos Police made three arrests in the context of an operation carried out in the previous days to combat illegal immigration and residence in the Republic.

Specifically, 25 premises were checked where 68 foreigners from African and Asian countries were located, while 3 foreigners were arrested. A 32-year-old Vietnamese woman has been charged with felony criminal mischief for refusing to stay in the Republic and a 32-year-old Somali national has committed a felony criminal mischief for refusing to apply for a residence permit. granting international protection.

A 41-year-old woman from Vietnam was also arrested for the offenses of forgery, illegal residence and securing entry into the Republic with false representations as well as securing registration in the Republic with false representations and illegal employment. The examinations continue for all three persons while their deportation procedures are underway.
