Dozens of Israelis are returning to their country via Cyprus

More than 15 flights to Tel Aviv airport are scheduled to take place today from Larnaca airport, by airlines mainly from Israel, which still operate routes to the country.

Information from the KYPE states that Israeli airlines are adding emergency flights from Larnaca airport to Tel Aviv with the aim of returning to the country Israelis who are either in Cyprus or will arrive on the island from other countries.

According to the same information, Israelis who are in various European countries are returning to Cyprus, specifically to Larnaca airport, from where Israeli airlines will pick them up to take them to Israel.

In addition, TUS Airways will offer additional flights from Tel Aviv to Larnaca and Athens, according to a post on Facebook.

It added that "due to the ongoing situation in Israel, TUS Airways will offer some additional flights between Tel Aviv - Larnaca and Tel Aviv - Athens in the coming days. There is a possibility that the flight time of the company's passengers, which it calls to make regular checks for updated information'.

It is noted that several airlines have suspended their flights to Tel Aviv airport.

Meanwhile information from the KYPE reports that both the five subsidized patients who are in Israel for treatment and their families are fine.

Besides, one of the three groups that were in Israel for pilgrimage and tourism, numbering around 300 people, arrived in Cyprus last night, while the second group will leave today from Tel Aviv.

It is noted that Metropolitan Nektarios of Kiti is in Tel Aviv for a church conference and will remain in Israel until Wednesday.

In addition, the Police have taken increased security measures at the Jewish Synagogue located in Larnaca, at places of Israeli interest in the city, at the Rabbi's house and at hotels where Israelis are staying.
