Another case of an attack on a food distributor occurred in Limassol, in the early hours of Tuesday, specifically on Anexartisias Street. Inquiries are being made to identify the owner of the vehicle that was found abandoned.
According to the Police, the new attack occurred at around 02:00 in the morning, while a 28-year-old food distributor stopped at a traffic light on Independence Street. According to the complaint, a car with four young people in it stopped next to him and the passenger seems to have thrown an unknown substance at the 28-year-old's face, causing burns to his eyes.
The food delivery man parked his motorbike on a pavement and after removing his helmet, he moved towards the strangers, who had also parked at the spot, asking them for an explanation.
The four unknown men got out of the vehicle and allegedly attacked the 28-year-old, beating him in various parts of his body, while they fled in their car when they were noticed by a security guard of a nearby hotel as well as citizens.
The victim was taken by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital, where he received First Aid and according to the treating doctors, he has a head injury, pelvic injury and various other injuries.
From examinations carried out by members of the Police, specific details of a vehicle were secured, which was found abandoned in a parking lot in the Mesa Geitonia area.
The suspicious vehicle was taken to the Limassol Police Department for scientific tests and an attempt is being made to locate its owner.
