Weak low pressure and unstable weather conditions affect the area.
Today, locally increased cloudiness will be observed at intervals, while initially isolated rains and storms are expected, mainly in the north, the interior and the east. After noon, clouds that will develop are expected to give isolated rains and an isolated storm, mainly in areas south of the Troodos, on the south coast and later also in the east. Hail is likely to fall in a storm. Winds in the morning will blow mainly northwest to northeast, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, to gradually become mainly southwest to northwest, of the same intensity by noon. However, progressively until late afternoon, the winds will blow mainly northwest to north, while on the west and north coasts they will strengthen to moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough, but by the afternoon in the west and north it will become slightly rough. The temperature will rise to around 23 degrees inland, on the west and north coasts, around 25 on the south and east coasts and around 12 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, locally increased cloudiness will be observed, especially in the eastern half of the island, while initially isolated rains or even storms are expected, mainly in eastern and northern coastal areas, without excluding inland areas. Winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast, in the central part of the island weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and on the coast moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will generally be a little rough, however in the west and north it will be locally rough. The temperature will drop to around 12 degrees inland, around 14 on the coast and around 6 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Saturday, in most areas of the island the weather will be mainly clear with locally increased cloudiness, while in areas south of Troodos after noon, isolated rains may occur.
On Sunday, the weather will be mainly clear, however, locally increased cloudiness will be observed at times. On Monday, the weather will initially be mainly clear with locally increased cloudiness, however, it will gradually become partly cloudy, while isolated, mainly light rains may occur.
The temperature on Saturday will drop, to fluctuate near and slightly below normal levels for the season, however, by Monday it will gradually increase noticeably, to thus fluctuate above the average climatological values of the season.
