Cyprus' "trademark" celebration today. Of Apostolos Andreas and almost every house celebrates since the specific name is considered one of the classics of Cyprus.
Unfortunately the name frequency data from the recent census has not yet been processed and so the Statistics Office lists have not been updated to give us updated name frequency data.
Thus we will use the data of the 2011 census in order to identify the frequency of the name in Cypriot households.
According to the 2011 data, 36.682 people had the name Andreas, while 19339 people had the name Androula.
