Low pressure is affecting the area while a cold air mass and enhanced northerly air current are expected tonight.
Today the weather will be mainly cloudy at times and local rains and isolated storms are expected. Snow or sleet will fall in the higher mountains. Winds will blow mainly from the west to the northwest and later to the north, initially light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, to soon become moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will initially be a little rough to gradually become rough, but in the late afternoon it will become rough. The temperature will rise to around 15 degrees inland, around 17 on the coast and around 7 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be partly cloudy and isolated rain is expected, mainly in the west and north. In the higher mountains, and possibly in some mountainous areas, snow or sleet may fall. Winds will blow northwest to north moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, and locally in the windward to very strong, 6 Beaufort. The sea will be rough and locally in the windward to wavy. The temperature will drop to around 4 degrees inland, around 6 on the coast and to minus one degree in the higher mountains. In the mountains but also in semi-mountainous areas, frost is expected to form.
On Thursday, isolated rains and snow or sleet are initially likely in the mountains. The weather will soon become mainly clear. On Friday and Saturday, the weather will be mainly clear and cold, with increased cloudiness observed at times.
The temperature will drop on Thursday to below average climatological values. On Friday, it is not expected to change significantly, while on Saturday, it is expected to increase slightly.
