The readiness and determination of the Greek Cypriot side to participate in an informal conference, which will be convened by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, was expressed on Tuesday by the President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, to the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General, Jane Hall L.

In his statements shortly after 9.00 pm, the Government Spokesman, Kyriakos Kousios, stated that the meeting of the President with Mrs. Lout, at the Presidential Palace, ended a while ago.

"The President of the Republic informed Ms. Lut about the readiness and determination of our side to participate in an informal conference to be convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, within the terms of his mandate, as set out by the UN Security Council. ", Said Mr. Kousios.

He also continued, the President of the Republic reiterated and confirmed the positions of our side for the solution of the Cyprus problem and expressed our readiness to continue the talks from the point where they stopped, in Crans Montana.

Ms. Luth will continue her contacts with the other stakeholders and then will inform the UN Secretary General, concluded Mr. Kousios.
