The new Ambassador of Greece to Cyprus was briefed on the national problem and the return of Famagusta to its legal residents by the President of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVEA).
A statement from the Chamber states that President Augustinos Papathomas and the EVEA leadership recently met in Paralimni with the new Greek Ambassador to Cyprus, Ioannis Papameletiou.
During the meeting, "Mr. Papathomas informed the Ambassador of Greece about the intense action of the Chamber in the national problem, and the issue of the return of Famagusta to its legal residents as well as the Chamber's efforts to upgrade the Free Province of Famagusta and promotion of new infrastructure projects for tourism and mainly development of the region in new sectors of the economy ".
According to the announcement, "the Ambassador of Greece showed great interest in the action of EVEA and congratulated the Chamber for the initiatives and the work it performs at national and business level".
