The death of the 35-year-old Ukrainian woman, who was found dead early in the morning in the apartment she was renting in the Germasogeia area, is attributed to strangulation. The search for the 25-year-old suspect continues.
The conclusion on the causes of death of the 35-year-old woman was announced on Sunday evening after a lengthy autopsy conducted by medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou, at the Nicosia General Hospital. Samples were also taken for laboratory tests.
For the case, which concerns premeditated murder, an arrest warrant has been secured against a 25-year-old man, based on evidence found by police investigators, which places him as the last person the victim met.

Speaking to Protoselido, the head of the TAE Limassol, Lefteris Kyriakou, said that the wanted person is a Kurd from Turkey, who was legally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus and had a pending application for political asylum.
"Apparently, an appointment had been arranged through a third party to meet in this particular apartment. The 35-year-old's friend was also arrested for other crimes," said Mr. Kyriakou.
It is noted that the 35-year-old was found dead shortly before one in the morning by the manager of the apartments and a friend of hers, who was looking for her and as established by the police tests, the perpetrator had gagged her with a bath towel and had tied her hands and feet with cable ties.
