The Police are investigating a case of premeditated murder, with the victim Stylianou Stylianou, 43, from Pegeia.
According to the data under consideration, around 10:40 last night, information was received by the Police about shots fired at a house in Peyia.
Members of the Police immediately went to the area, where they found the 43-year-old dead inside the house.
According to the preliminary examinations, the victim was in a meeting in the house in question, when at some point, after a confrontation, a 50-year-old man shot him with a shotgun, fatally wounding him.
The 50-year-old then left the scene, while a little later he visited the Paphos General Hospital, where it was found that he had abrasion wounds on his legs and various bruises.
He was subsequently arrested on a warrant and taken into custody to facilitate investigations. During his oral interrogation, he allegedly admitted to the commission of the crime.
