The two sides agreed to an amendment to the indictment in the case of Tremithousa's murder, with the 74-year-old defendant expected to admit to the charge of murder, as was said today before the Permanent Criminal Court of Paphos. The case was adjourned until December 13.

In particular, an adjournment was requested for the purpose of preparing the written summons by the defense attorney, lawyer Nicoleta Charalambidou.

The representative of the prosecuting authority, Attorney of the Republic Andreas Hatzikyrou, did not object and therefore the Court set the case for December 13, 2022 at 09:30 in the morning. He also ordered that the 74-year-old remain in custody.

Mr. Chatzikyrou also noted that the facts of the case and the mitigation of the sentence will be approved by the Attorney General.

It is noted that as mentioned in the Court, both sides have agreed to the amendment of the indictment. In the next trial, as the Court was told, the two sides came to an agreement on the facts of the case, a fact that allows the prosecuting authority to vary the indictment.

The accused is now expected, as mentioned by the defense counsel, to change his answer by admitting the charge of homicide.

According to the case history in December 2021, the 75-year-old British man caused the death of his wife who was in the final stage of cancer, because as he later reported he could not watch her suffer. As she claimed, she herself was asking him to relieve her of the horrible pains.

On December 74, 31, the 2021-year-old was referred to a direct trial before the Permanent Criminal Court of Paphos.
