As of January 1, 2023, seven new pharmaceutical products for type II diabetes (of the gliptin category) have been added to the List of Pharmaceutical Products of the National Health Insurance Agency, the Health Insurance Organization announced today.
As he notes, as a result of the inclusion of the specific pharmaceutical products, a change will be observed in Contribution II (PC2) paid by the beneficiaries for some of the existing products of the specific category of gliptins.
The Organization points out that the List of Pharmaceutical Products of the National Health Service will continue to provide pharmaceutical products from the specific category for which the payment of Contribution II will not be required.
He adds that for more extensive information, beneficiaries can request information from their treating physician and/or pharmacist.
The new pharmaceutical products that have been included in the CFP are:

It is noted that from February 01, 2023, the Uniform Price List of Pharmaceutical Products of the Ministry of Health for 2023 will be implemented. The price change in some of the above pharmaceutical products may affect the Contribution II paid by patients for these drugs .
It is reported that the above table shows in detail all the pharmaceutical products of the gliptin category that are available from January 1, as well as the relevant Contribution II for each product.

Also, the OAU of Health Insurance informs the public about the contact details of the on-call personal physician (PI) services per province during the weekends of January 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29, 2023.
It is noted that the contact details of the PI on-call services will be adjusted on a monthly basis and will be posted on the GeSY website www.gesy.org.cy as well as on the Agency's official social media accounts.
It is recalled that the On-call services of a personal physician are provided to adults and children who are beneficiaries of the NHS during weekends and Public Holidays and concern the provision of health care for emergency problems such as the acute onset of alarming symptoms, sudden and severe pain, worsening symptoms of a serious chronic illness, high fever accompanied by other symptoms.
Beneficiaries should not turn to PI on-call services for pre-existing medical conditions, issuance of repeated prescriptions, issuance of referrals to other services of the NHS or in cases where they do not have the time to visit their Personal Physician.
The hours of operation of the services are on weekends and Public Holidays are on Saturday from 09.00 – 17.00 and on Sunday and Public Holiday 15.00 – 19.00.
For their service, the beneficiaries contact the PI emergency services of their province by telephone during the operating hours of the emergency services. After assessing the health problem, an appointment is arranged during the day and during the opening hours of the on-call services. It is emphasized that, in order to properly serve the beneficiaries, the services operate only with scheduled appointments.
