A 58-year-old woman was arrested at dawn at Larnaca airport when more than 2 kilograms of cocaine were found in her luggage.
In a statement from the Police Communication Department, it is stated that "Members of YKAN, in collaboration with members of the Customs Department, stopped today at dawn to check a 58-year-old woman, who arrived at Larnaca airport from abroad. During the check, a nylon package, wrapped with black adhesive tape, containing white powder cocaine, weighing 58 kilograms and 2 grams, was found in the shoulder bag owned by the 116-year-old.
The woman was arrested for open-ended offenses and taken into custody.
The case is being investigated by the Larnaca District Committee of YKAN.
