The Ministry of Shipping informs that with its announcement the company Seabourn Cruise Line, a member of the Carnival group, announced the inclusion of Cyprus in its cruise program for this summer.

The whole project was done through contacts of the company and coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Shipping in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works and the Ministry of Tourism.

As it is known, international cruise ship companies with their recent decisions, have included Cyprus in the world cruise map. This fact shows that the epidemiological data have been positively assessed, as well as the quality services offered by our country. In particular, the possibility of changing crews played an important role, for which Cyprus responded effectively from the first moment of the pandemic and received praise from the international shipping community, as well as the facilities for mooring ships.

This development is expected to have multiple benefits in the domestic tourism, shipping and port industry, but also in the wider local economy.

It is noted that the company will launch two seven-day cruises starting from the port of Piraeus from the first week of July. The itineraries will include Greek islands: Agios Nikolaos-Rhodes-Mykonos-Nafplio with station Limassol and Patmos-Rhodes-Santorini-Spetses with station Paphos.
