The Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVEL) expresses its satisfaction with the launch of the works for the construction of the New Cyprus Museum, a project - a reference point for Nicosia.
"This important project enriches the cultural heritage of Cyprus (natural and intangible) and highlights the importance of Nicosia as a city of special cultural interest," EVEL said in a statement.
He adds that "it is expected that the construction of the New Museum will attract thousands of visitors, locals and foreigners, offering them a complete experience, which will help increase traffic in Nicosia."
In a statement, EVEL states that the New Cyprus Museum is the largest project of the Government, with a budget of 121,38 million euros and adds that "this is a very ambitious project which will be built on an area of 40.000 sq.m. in the area of the Old General Hospital of Nicosia and will include, among others, permanent exhibition spaces, a library and an amphitheater ", while the works for its construction are expected to be completed in 2028.
