New threats, which keep the British base in Cyprus in the "frame", were launched by the general of the Revolutionary Guards, Sardar Jabbari.

"The Americans have transferred the majority of their aircraft to Cyprus. We will launch so many missiles towards Cyprus that the Americans will be forced to leave there as well," said Jabbari, among other things.

"So far we have launched approximately 3.000 first and second generation missiles," he noted and announced new strikes: "In the coming days we will definitely use third and fourth generation missiles. Approximately 10.000 drones have taken off so far."

The accuracy of Jabbari's statements, as heard in the video, was confirmed by philenews.

Commander in Chief Ibrahim Jabari:

The Americans have moved most of their planes to Cyprus, and we will fire several missiles at Cyprus to force them to leave there as well

It is recalled that, after the Iranian strikes on the British base in Akrotiri, Cyprus, the Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, announced that Greece is sending two frigates to Cyprus, following communication between Mitsotakis and Christodoulides. These are the Kimonas and another frigate of the navy, which carries the Centaurus anti-drone system. At the same time, Greece is also sending a pair of F-16s to Cyprus. Tomorrow, Defense Minister Nikos Dendias will also travel to Nicosia.

"Mr. Mitsotakis had a conversation a moment ago with Mr. Christodoulides. I am in constant communication with my counterpart. After the unprovoked attacks, I assured that Greece will contribute to the defense of Cyprus throughout the crisis. Following this, and in accordance with a decision by the KYSEA, the Kimon Frigate is being sent immediately, as well as a second Greek frigate that will carry the "Kentaurus" system. A pair of F-16 fighter jets are also being sent to the Republic of Cyprus. Also, for better coordination, I will travel to Cyprus tomorrow with the Chief of the General Staff," said the Minister of National Defense after the end of the meeting that took place at the ministry.

Cyprus' "thank you" to Greece for the help

The representative of Cyprus, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, in his post on X, thanked Greece for sending the two frigates and the pair of F-16s.

Mr. Letymbiotis' message in detail: We thank the Greek Government for its response following the telephone conversation that President Christodoulides had today with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In the context of increased preventive measures being taken due to developments in the wider region, it was agreed that Greece would send two Navy frigates to the Republic of Cyprus.

These are the frigate "Kimon" and another frigate, which carries the "Kentaurus" unmanned aerial vehicle countermeasure system.

At the same time, in the same context of strengthening preventive measures and cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and Greece, a pair of F-16 aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force are also being sent to Cyprus.

Three communities in Paphos under house arrest

The order for home confinement for residents of three communities in Paphos, Timi, Achelia, and Mantri, was issued by local authorities following instructions from the Civil Defense, according to philenews.

According to the Deputy Mayor of Timi, Giorgos Polykarpou, clear instructions have been given for the residents of Timi and neighboring communities to remain confined to their homes and not to move outside of them.

Mr. Polykarpou also mentioned that it was a difficult time due to the end of classes at the Timi Regional Primary School, which serves many communities, and that is why local authorities had to rush to help students and parents go home.

Preventive measures in the Akrotiri area

The Ministry of Interior of Cyprus announced preventive measures in the Akrotiri area.

More specifically, the Civil Defence took preventive measures to inform the population about the possibility of being accommodated at the Limassol KEN. Civil Defence officers and volunteers have been present at the Limassol KEN from the very beginning, in order to facilitate citizens who wish to go to the temporary accommodation area.

Civil Defense teams remain on site in the Akrotiri Municipal District, to inform residents and assist in transporting citizens who wish to temporary accommodation. At the same time, patrols are being carried out in the area to provide any assistance to residents, if necessary.

If necessary, sirens will sound in the affected areas and announcements will be made through various channels, including radio and television, to inform the population to head to the nearest shelter.

Shelters can be located through the “SafeCY” application or through the Operations Control Center of the General Directorate of Civil Defense on phones.

If there is no shelter nearby, citizens are urged to remain in a safe location inside their home or business, such as underground parking lots and areas with solid walls. At the same time, trained Neighborhood Watchers will be located in areas of increased need to direct and assist the population.

Iranian Embassy in Cyprus: We will make the attackers regret their criminal acts

In a statement on the outbreak of war in the Middle East issued by the Iranian Embassy in Cyprus, it is noted that "now the time has come to defend the homeland and confront the enemy's military attack. Just as we were ready for negotiation, we are even more ready to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond to the aggressors with force and determination."

The embassy statement also states that the Islamic Republic of Iran "underlines the grave responsibility of the United Nations and the Security Council to take immediate action in response to the violation of international peace and security caused by this blatant military attack. We call on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council and all members of the Council to fulfill their duties without delay."

Detailed statement from the Iranian embassy in Cyprus

"Our sacred and beloved homeland, the proud and culturally creative Iran, has once again suffered a criminal military attack by the United States and the Zionist regime.

In the early hours of February 28, the eve of the Persian New Year and the tenth day of the holy month of Ramadan, the United States and the Zionist regime blatantly violated Iran’s territorial integrity and sovereignty by launching attacks on a series of defense installations, infrastructure, and political targets in various cities across the country. This new act of military aggression took place at a time when Iran and the United States were engaged in a diplomatic process.

Despite the fact that we were aware of the intentions of the United States and the Zionist regime to proceed with another aggressive action, we returned to negotiations in order to prove to the international community and all the nations of the world the legitimacy of the position of the Iranian people and to remove any pretext for an illegal attack. Today, the people of Iran stand proud, knowing that they made every effort to prevent war. Now, however, the time has come to defend the homeland and confront the enemy’s military attack. Just as we were ready for negotiation, we are even more ready to defend Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond to the aggressors with force and determination.

The airstrikes carried out by the United States and the Zionist regime constitute a clear violation of Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter and constitute an act of armed aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, Iran has the inherent and legitimate right of self-defense. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will utilize all necessary capabilities and resources to confront this criminal attack and repel the enemy’s hostile actions.

The Islamic Republic of Iran underlines the grave responsibility of the United Nations and the Security Council to take immediate action in response to the violation of international peace and security caused by this blatant military attack. We call on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council and all members of the Council to fulfill their duties without delay.

All Member States of the United Nations—especially regional and Islamic countries, members of the Non-Aligned Movement, and all governments that value international peace and security—are expected to unequivocally condemn this act of aggression and take urgent and collective measures to counter it. This reckless action has undoubtedly placed regional and global peace and security under unprecedented threat.

At this historic and decisive moment, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, inspired by the proud and heroic heritage of the nation and based on faith in Almighty God and the power of national unity, will not hesitate to decisively defend our beloved homeland.

"History testifies that the Iranian people have never submitted to domination or foreign aggression. And this time, the Iranian nation's response will be firm and decisive — and will make the aggressors regret their criminal acts."
