Complaints of 29 citizens and 3 property owners for COVID measures

In the last 24 hours (from 06.00 on Tuesday until 06.00 today), the Cypriot Police carried out 3.028 inspections throughout Cyprus, in order to verify the observance of the measures and the implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection.

As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated to KYPE, during the inspections, 29 complaints were made by citizens and 3 owners of premises.

In terms of provincial inspections, 1.191 inspections were carried out in Nicosia, out of which 8 complaints of citizens and one establishment resulted, in Limassol 323 inspections were carried out, out of which 16 complaints of citizens and one establishment resulted, in Larnaca 547 inspections were carried out, of which There were 2 complaints from citizens, 188 checks were carried out in Paphos, out of which 1 citizen and one property were reported, in Famagusta 397 checks were carried out, out of which 2 complaints were made from citizens, in the Morfos area 102 checks were carried out, without any complaint.

Also, the Pancyprian Traffic Police carried out 213 inspections, without any complaints.

Of the 3.028 inspections, 67 concerned ports, from which no complaints emerged. In addition, no violations occurred at the airports.

Answering a question, the representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters said that the majority of the complaints to citizens concerned the non-use of a protective mask.

Regarding the premises, as he mentioned, in the province of Nicosia it was a cafeteria, where it seems that it did not keep safe pass control and € 500 was imposed out of court, in the province of Limassol it was an Aesthetics Institute, which seems to serve customers without a protective mask and imposed € 1.000. in the province of Paphos concerned a cafe, where it seems that the person in charge was without a protective mask and a fine of € 500 was imposed.
