A weak low pressure system is affecting the area. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere.
Today the weather will be partly cloudy with the possibility of isolated rain. Local rains are expected after noon, mainly in the western half of the island. The winds will blow northeast to southeast, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally up to strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be rough. The temperature will rise to around 15 degrees inland and on the coast and around 7 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will gradually become cloudy with local rain and isolated storms. Snow or sleet is expected on the higher peaks of Troodos. Winds will blow mainly northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally moderate, 4 Beaufort. The sea will be rough to rough. The temperature will drop to 8 degrees inland, around 11 on the coast and to 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will be observed locally.
On Saturday, local rains and isolated storms are expected, as well as snow in the higher mountains, however, a noticeable improvement in the weather is expected gradually by the afternoon.
On Sunday, the weather will be mainly cloudy at times and isolated rain in the mountains is possible in the afternoon.
On Monday the weather will be partly cloudy, while in the evening it will become cloudy and local rains are expected. The temperature will not change significantly on Saturday, however on Sunday it will rise and will fluctuate close to or slightly above the average climatological values. On Monday it will fluctuate at approximately the same levels as on Sunday.
The height of the snow in Chionistra, at the time of issuing the bulletin, was 17 centimeters.
