A fire broke out at 15:48 yesterday in an apartment on the second floor of an apartment building on Vasileos Konstantinou Street in Larnaca, with the Fire Department rescuing three people.
According to the Fire Service "3 people who were inside the apartment were rescued from the apartment while the 3rd floor of the apartment building was also evacuated".
"The fire caused extensive damage to the hallway, bathroom and bedroom of the apartment. Damage was caused by the smoke and to the paintwork in the rest of the apartment."
According to the Fire Service "the cause of the fire was an oil candle".
In order to extinguish the fire, 2 staffed vehicles from the Central Fire Station of Larnaca, Police Officer Andreas Papadopoulos, responded.
