A complaint was filed with the Paphos Police Department by the mother of a 16-year-old student on Friday that a student in Paphos locked her 16-year-old son in a school hall for several minutes, according to Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations Michalis Nikolaou.
Mr. Nikolaou stated that following the complaint by the 16-year-old's mother, the case is being investigated by the Police in collaboration with the school.
When asked about the matter, the Principal of the school where the incident occurred told CNA that the school has taken all the necessary actions and taken all the disciplinary measures that needed to be taken, and the matter is considered closed.
He noted that the student involved in the incident was given the penalty of expulsion.
