The Party for Animals of Cyprus in a statement says that it receives information and complaints based on which hunters place poisoned baits in order to prevent other hunters from harvesting hares, causing death to innocent animals and risks to human lives.

The Cyprus Party for Animals calls on the Ministry of the Interior (Game Service), the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment (Veterinary Services), the Police and the Animal Police as they are on alert to prevent the worst.

After formulating the position that it is not possible for interests and interpersonal differences to prevail at the expense of nature and innocent creatures, the Party for the Animals of Cyprus declares that it will be vigilant and monitor the whole situation as it develops.
