The Cyprus Drug Enforcement Agency (CYEA) seized a large quantity of drugs in Nicosia yesterday afternoon. Four people were arrested in connection with the case.
A Police statement states that following an assessment of information, members of the CYC went to the offices of a courier company in Nicosia, where they located and seized a package containing six kilograms of cannabis. The package had arrived in Cyprus via shipment from abroad.
In the context of investigating the case, testimony emerged against four individuals, who were arrested pursuant to court warrants.
These are men aged 47, 40, 37 and 33, who were taken into custody and are expected to be brought before the court today for the issuance of a detention order.
The Nicosia Regional Police (YKAN) continues its examinations to fully clarify the case.
